Jenna-Louise Coleman has been a British actor for several years. Her most well-known role is as Clara Oswald, the character she portrayed in Doctor Who. She began acting from a young age, as a member of Yer Space, a theatre group, and was part of the play Crystal Clear at Edinburgh Festival. The production received praise as well as Coleman was awarded an honorary award for the performance. Coleman's first breakthrough was as she played Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale. It lasted through 2009 when it ceased. In 2006, Coleman was nominated in the National Television Awards as Most Popular Newcomer. Coleman first made film debut in 2011 when she played Connie as Connie in Captain America: The First Avenger. She had her biggest chance to show off her talents in acting in 2016, when she stepped into the role of former British monarch Queen Victoria as part of ITV's Victoria. Coleman is a great actor who has shown her versatility by playing Lindsay James (a British schoolgirl) in the BBC show Waterloo Road and now an the empress Victoria.
